(SuPa) started his career as an industrial design graduate from Chelsea College of Art & Design and has worked in South Africa and the United States. After discovering Beethoven his life changed. Inspired by the music, he knew that he needed to tell stories that are beautiful and breath taking. He has a Diploma in performance arts from New York Film School (NYFA) and has studied writing and directing from AFDA. His student short film has been represented at the Sithengi Film Festival.
He has directed television series for the SABC, M-Net, MTV and Content Division in London. Further to this he has directed TV commercials, documentaries, live performances and over 20 Award winning music videos for a number of established local and international artists including amongst others Thandiswa Mazwai, Akon, Simphiwe Dana, Parlotones ft Kwela Tebza, Tumi and The Volume.
Supa’s fastidious attention to detail, skilful use of crafted imagery and boundless energy has put him at the forefront of the emerging crop of young blood directors in South Africa.
